Sports Massage
Pre-event, mid-training, and post-event work for runners, cyclists, climbers, lifters, and CSU athletes.
What sports massage actually is
Sports massage is bodywork built around the demands of training and competition. It’s faster-paced than relaxation work, more specific than general deep tissue, and uses a mix of techniques — compression, friction, stretching, trigger-point release — chosen for what your training cycle needs at the moment.
Three timings, three intents
- Pre-event (24-48 hours before competition): light, warming work to flush the muscles and prime range of motion without inducing soreness
- Maintenance (mid-training cycle): deeper, more specific work on overused muscle groups — the goal is keeping you in training, not making you sore for the next day
- Post-event / recovery (24-72 hours after): work focused on flushing metabolic waste, easing the deepest knots, and accelerating return to baseline
